Bear Cottage is a detached three bedroom self catering holiday cottage near Fistral Beach in Newquay, Cornwall. Situated in an idyllic village setting in Pentire away from the stresses of everyday life where the pace is set to slow! 

Just ten minutes walk away from Newquay town centre, Bear Cottage is a stylish home from home self catering holiday cottage and makes the perfect base for any holiday in Cornwall. This self catering cottage in Newquay, Cornwall is dog friendly and has been sympathetically styled and constructed on a traditional Cornish fisherman’s cottage. It is built on land formerly owned by The Duchy of Cornwall, at the Western end of Newquay lying above the world famous Fistral beach. 

Situated close to Fistral Beach (world-famous as the beach in Europe for surfing and surf competitions). Other nearby areas of outstanding natural beauty include the Pentire Headland, The River Gannel, Crantock and Holywell Beach with the Golf course of Newquay Golf club located just behind Fistral Beach. Within a few minutes walk there are small shops/off licence and several hotels offering meals to non-residents. The centre of Newquay is a 10 minute walk, therefore close enough for those who enjoy the night life but far enough away for those who prefer to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and the magnificent coastline.

The Accommodation

Downstairs: kitchen, lounge, dining room, separate cloakroom with WC and washbasin.
First floor: one double bedroom with en-suite shower room, WC and washbasin.  Two twin rooms, bathroom with over the bath shower, WC and washbasin.

Bear Cottage is dog friendly and has been equipped for year round use and to a very high specification. The attention to detail makes this property hard to beat.  It is completely self-contained, carpeted and tiled throughout and fully equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable self catering holiday. Beds are made up for your arrival, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included at no extra charge. A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are supplied as standard.  Please supply your own beach towels. A maximum of 2 additional guests can be accommodated.  Additional guests are charged at 10% of the booking price.  Electricity is supplied through a £1 coin meter. Location

By road Newquay is within easy access of the A30 dual carriageway (twelve miles) which is served by the recently improved A30 bypass at Indian Queens, knocking a good 30 minutes off the journey time in the busy summer periods.

Newquay also has an airport (5 miles from the town centre) with flights from the UK between Newquay, Dublin, Luton and Stansted, along with flights from Europe being added as well.  Buses run from Newquay Airport to the Town Centre.  For more information click on the link. http://www.westerngreyhound.com Newquay railway station is in the town centre and National Express Coaches serve Newquay too.

To book your holiday at Bear Cottage check the date that you would like is available then either email or telephone your booking through - this will provisionally book your stay. You must then print out the booking form, sign it and return it with your 1/3 deposit. We will confirm your booking on receipt of your deposit.
