Bear Cottage is a semi-detached three bedroom self catering holiday cottage near Fistral Beach in Newquay, Cornwall. Situated in an idyllic village setting in Pentire away from the stresses of everyday life where the pace is set to slow!

Just ten minutes walk away from Newquay town centre, Bear Cottage is a stylish home from home self catering holiday cottage and makes the perfect base for any holiday in Cornwall. The cottage is dog friendly and has been sympathetically styled and constructed on a traditional Cornish fisherman's cottage. It is built on land formerly owned by The Duchy of Cornwall, at the Western end of Newquay lying above the world famous Fistral beach.

Situated close to Fistral Beach (world-famous as the beach in Europe for surfing and surf competitions). Other nearby areas of outstanding natural beauty include the Pentire Headland, The River Gannel, Crantock and Holywell Beach with the Golf course of Newquay Golf club located just behind Fistral Beach. Within a few minutes walk there are small shops/off licence and several hotels offering meals to non-residents. Not very far from Bear Cottage is the ever popular Lewinnick Lodge Bar and Restaurant atop of the Pentire Headland with spectacular views of the Atlantic. The centre of Newquay is a 10 minute walk, therefore close enough for those who enjoy the night life but far enough away for those who prefer to enjoy the beaches, restaurants and the magnificent coastline.

Bear Cottage is dog friendly and has been equipped for year round use and to a very high specification. The attention to detail makes this property hard to beat. It is completely self-contained, carpeted and tiled throughout and fully equipped with everything necessary for an enjoyable self catering holiday. Beds are made up for your arrival, bed linen, towels and tea towels are included at no extra charge. A travel cot, highchair and stair gate are supplied as standard. Please supply your own beach towels. A maximum of 2 additional guests can be accommodated on a double sofa bed in the lounge. Additional guests are charged at 10% of the booking price. Electricity is supplied through a £1 coin meter.

Location

By road Newquay is within easy access of the A30 dual carriageway (twelve miles) which is served by the recently improved A30 bypass at Indian Queens, knocking a good 30 minutes off the journey time in the busy summer periods.

Newquay also has an airport (5 miles from the town centre) with flights from the UK between Newquay, Dublin, Luton and Stansted, along with flights from Europe being added as well. Buses run from Newquay Airport to the Town Centre. Short Breaks

Short breaks are available for any day arrival subject to availability. There is a minimum stay of three nights (except Christmas and New Year). Please check availability or email or call for further details.

To book this property:

1. To make a provisional booking online simply check availability and the price by clicking on the link below. Our booking system is very easy and simple to use and it will prompt you through the process.
2. Only dates that are underlined can be selected as arrival and departure dates. For enquiries about other dates please email or call us.
3. When you have filled out your booking form and made your provisional booking we will contact you soon afterwards to confirm your details and arrange payment. To confirm the booking we will ask you to pay a non-returnable 1/3 deposit (subject to terms and conditions) within three days by cheque, credit, debit card or bank transfer. Please note that credit card payments will incur a 3.6% charge on the total cost of your holiday.
4. The balance and a refundable damage bond of £250 will be due four weeks before your holiday commences. If your holiday is booked less than four weeks before arrival then the total is payable at the time of booking.
5. Dogs are charged at £35 each per week (maximum 2 dogs).
